The Lowell Spinners topped the Tri-City ValleyCats, 4-2, in New York-Penn League action at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. The game was highlighted by the performance of Lowell pitcher Randy Weich. The win has Lowell at 14-41.
Bastian Henson, the 22-year old left fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Henson contributed a run-scoring sacrifice fly in the top of the fifth inning to put Lowell up, 2-1.
"At the end of the day, it's always about your starting pitcher," said Lowell skipper Danny Inglis.
