The Olympia Spartans picked up a win at Ballpark of Victoria, dropping the Roseburg Owls, 6-0. Freddie Garza, who is tied for 8th in the NWL in wins with 3, was the difference-maker. The Spartans now own a record of 25-13.

Eddy Quintania had a big 3-run home run for the Spartans in the bottom of the eighth inning. With Olympia leading 3-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 21-year old right-handed pitcher Regan Horne and swatted a home run to left. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Spartans ahead, 6-0.

"Freddie controlled the strike zone," said Olympia manager Jim Todd.
