Jammers Zap Canucks, 5-1
|
Pitcher Stuart Wade was sensational for the Jamestown Jammers in his team's 5-1 triumph over the Abbotsford Canucks. Wade picked up the win, and it was well-earned. Wade, the winner, moves to 4-5. He threw 5.1 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 4 and giving up 3 walks. The win puts the Jammers at 26-29, while the Canucks drop to 26-28.
Anderson Bryant, the 20-year old center fielder , had a direct impact on the outcome. Bryant contributed a 2-run single in the top of the sixth inning to put Jamestown up, 4-1.
"I liked his command," said Jamestown manager Ryan O'Donnell. "Stuart was throwing strikes."
