Matney Helps Emeralds Defeat Hawks, 10-7
Merton Matney left his imprint on the 10-7 Eugene win against the Boise Hawks. Matney, who is tied for 6th in the NWL in hits with 51, went 4 for 4 with a home run, a double, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 4. Ronaldo Campos, now 1-0, picked up the win in relief. He allowed 1 run on 6 hits in 5 innings. Skip Schott Jr. closed it out for Eugene, earning his 4th save.
