Big Day for Graham as Emeralds Down Owls, 8-1
|
Riding the 2-hit performance of the 19-year old right fielder Dave Graham, the Eugene Emeralds stopped the Roseburg Owls, 8-1. Eugene is now 17-20, while Roseburg is 2-35.
Early in the game, Graham had a grand slam home run for Eugene. It was his 4th home run of the season and put the Emeralds on top, 4-0.
Afterward, Roseburg manager Gabriel Chavez said: "We were guessing wrong on pitches, and that's something we've got to get away from."
