The Medford Flying Tigers scored a tight 4-3 win versus the Connecticut Tigers at Medford Grounds. Medford pitcher Gavin Thomson held his own in the contest. The Flying Tigers lead the Northwest League South Division by 3½ games.

The Flying Tigers got a big at-bat from right fielder Randy Mitchell. For the game, Mitchell went 1 for 4 with a home run. He drove in 3 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the fourth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 3-run home run. His 3rd home run of the season gave Medford a 3-2 lead.

"I was a little disappointed," said Connecticut manager Casey Hudson. "We could've and should've scored more runs."
