Dust Devils Eke Out 3-2 Win Versus Wenatchee
|
The Tri-City Dust Devils earned a close win over the Wenatchee Chiefs, thanks in part to Roy Richardson. The Tri-City left-hander played a key role in the 3-2 victory. The winner was Richardson. He threw 5.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was E.J. Jaguares. Chase Pachta picked up the save for Tri-City, his 9th of the year.
Elijah Bitler chipped in a 3-run home run for Tri-City in the bottom of the second. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 3 runs batted in.
Bitler attributed the win to his team's "steely resolve."
Tri-City is now 16-19, Wenatchee 16-19.
