Messinger K's 11 En Route to 3-0 Jammers Win
|
In a low-scoring clash between Jamestown and Redmond, pitcher Henry Messinger was a difference-maker. The right-hander earned accolades in the 3-0 win. Jeff Owen was credited with the save for Jamestown, his 1st of the season. The Jammers now have a record of 25-29.
The Jammers liked what they saw from Messinger. The 21-year old pitcher had a commanding presence on the mound, limiting the Rattlers to no runs on 1 hit over 8 innings, and striking out 11.
"I tried to mix it up, keep them off balance," said Messinger.
