Cavalry Tuck Away 6-3 Win Over Yakima Valley

The New Westminster Cavalry beat the Yakima Valley Pippins, 6-3. New Westminster pitcher and Thompson, Canada, native Jayceon George led the way. The winner was George. He threw 5.1 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Lennox Isaacs. J.R. Reyes locked down his 3rd save.
The Cavalry got a big at-bat from shortstop Clint Hogh. For the game, Hogh was 1 for 4 with a home run, while adding 2 RBI and scoring once. In the bottom of the first, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 4th home run of the season gave New Westminster a 2-0 lead.
Hogh told the New Westminster News: "Sometimes the big stage is not big enough for me."
