Flying Tigers Pick Up 4-3 Win
The Medford Flying Tigers overcame a good performance by New Westminster left fielder Nelson Cabral to knock off New Westminster, 4-3, at Medford Grounds. Cabral went 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs. Manjit Green recorded the save for Medford, his 1st of the season. Medford is now 20-13. New Westminster is 18-15.

Forbes Wright had a big 3-run home run for the Flying Tigers in the bottom of the third inning. With Medford leading 1-0 and runners on 1st and 2nd, he got a fastball from 22-year old right-handed pitcher J.R. Reyes and swatted a home run to left-center. It was his 7th home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Flying Tigers ahead, 4-0.

Wright attributed the win to "an all-around good team performance."
