Olympia designated hitter Juan De La Hoya made his presence felt in the 7-5 Spartans triumph over the Medford Flying Tigers. De La Hoya went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 2. Samuel Cox, the winning pitcher, is now 4-1. He went 5.2 innings, allowing 5 runs on 6 hits, while fanning 1 and walking 1. The first-place Spartans now have a win-loss record of 23-8.
