The Vermont Lake Monsters downed the Youngstown Gremlins, 8-7, at Centennial Field. Isaiah Yorks led the way, going 3-for-4 for Vermont. The 4th-place Lake Monsters are now 29-24, the Gremlins 30-22.
Vermont took a 8-7 lead on Victor Dean's 6th home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Youngstown pitcher Incubo Ranquillo in the bottom of the eighth.
"Good win for us," said Dean. "We'll strap it on and go after the next one."
