Eugene wasted a solid 8-inning effort from starting pitcher Matt Curwen, losing to Bend, 2-1, at Ballpark of Bend. Heitor Chillura, 1-2, earned the win in relief. He allowed no runs on 3 hits in 3.1 innings. The Rafters now have a mark of 21-13.

A crucial at-bat came with the bases loaded and two out in the bottom of the sixth inning. That's when shortstop Grayson Ash got hit by a pitch, driving in 1 run. The Rafters went on to win.

"Our pitching was the difference tonight," Ash said.
