Emeralds Edge Tigers, 4-3
|
Eugene picked up a win at PK Park, bumping off the Connecticut Tigers, 4-3. Pitcher Ivan Peters was a major reason the Emeralds emerged victorious. The 8th-place Emeralds go to 18-32.
Had Jol Reynoso not delivered a key base hit in the bottom of the eighth, the outcome might have been different. Instead, with two down and runners on 2nd and 3rd, Reynoso hit a 2-run single. That made the score 4-3, in favor of the Emeralds.
"I like the grit of this ballclub," Peters said.
