Salem-Keizer pitcher David R. Glover did his part in helping his team beat the Yakima Valley Pippins, 5-3. The right-hander kept opposing batters from doing too much damage. In 7 innings, Glover surrendered 4 hits, while striking out 9 and walking 0. He allowed 2 runs. The save went to Nicholas Del Carmen, his 3rd this season.

In the bottom of the fifth, Lance Pederson delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and the bases loaded, the Salem-Keizer right fielder hit a run-scoring single, putting the Volcanoes in front, 5-3.

"Every time I step on the mound, I want to go out there and compete and bring my best game," said Glover.
