Rattlers K-O Dust Devils, 3-0
|
Redmond and Tri-City got after it at Gesa Stadium.
In a tight tilt between Redmond and Tri-City, pitcher Jayson Sproull was a key contributor. The right-hander earned accolades for his standout performance in the 3-0 Rattlers win. Sproull, now 2-2, was the winner. In 7.1 innings, he gave up 5 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing no runs. Glen Ford, summoned from the bullpen, notched his 6th save.
Redmond used the hitting of Cain LeMoine to pick up the win. The shortstop clubbed a 2-run home run in the top of the seventh inning to put the Rattlers on top, 3-0. For the game, LeMoine had 1 home run and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
"Everything was on," said Sproull.
With the win, the Rattlers improved to 16-10.
