Howe Strokes 5 Hits
Speaking with reporters after a dominating hitting performance, Gray Howe said his club's tilt with the Wenatchee Chiefs "felt almost like batting practice." The 22-year-old catcher went a remarkable 5-for-5 at the plate.

"I saw the ball well and could just about hit it anywhere I wanted," he recalled later.

However, his sensational day wasn't enough for the Gold Beach Sea Unicorns, who were topped by the Chiefs, 8-6.

"It's a good lesson for him, I guess," Sea Unicorns manager Frank Medrano said. "Sometimes Gray is going to lose. But I would rather him go 5-for-5 and lose than go 0-for-5 and lose."

Gray Howe singled in the 2nd, singled in the 4th, doubled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and doubled in the 9th.

So far this season, Howe is batting .308 with 1 home run, 7 RBIs and 9 runs scored. He has 20 hits in 65 at-bats, 3 walks and a .338 OBP. Howe has played in 15 games.
