Kennewick Collects 7-6 Win
|
The Kennewick Marauders had to overcome a big game from Spokane first baseman Gilberto Castillo to leave Avista Stadium with a victory. And they did, winning, 7-6. Castillo went 2 for 4 with 2 home runs, while adding 4 RBI and scoring twice. Kennewick pitcher Maurice Franco got the win, upping his record to 2-0. Kieran Aguila got the loss. The Marauders go to 14-11, putting them 5th in the Northwest League North Division.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Jake Moore? The Kennewick designated hitter had a 2-run double in the top of the fifth inning to put the Marauders on top, 7-5. For the game, Moore had 1 double and 1 single in 2 at-bats.
"We found a way to get it done," Moore said.
