Gremlins Knock Off Marauders at Eastwood Field
The Youngstown Gremlins got a stellar performance from pitcher Kenkichi Sakubara, who handcuffed the Kennewick offense en route to a win, 4-1, at Eastwood Field. Sakubara got the win, improving to 3-1. He allowed 4 hits and walked 1 over 6 innings. Sakubara allowed no runs. Picking up the save was Julius Major, his 12th.

The Gremlins got an important contribution from first baseman Ahmad Elix, who in the bottom of the third punched a 2-0 fastball into right for a 2-run double. It was his 6th double of the season and put the Gremlins ahead, 3-0.

"I felt we were ready to go," said Youngstown manager Danny Silva. "Our pregame was pretty good."

The 4th-place Gremlins now have a win-loss record of 25-20.
