Everett Wins, 7-2
|
Though he had a great game, Wilder Jacobs could not single-handedly produce a win for Salem-Keizer. Everett won the game, 7-2. Jacobs was 4-4 with 2 doubles and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs. Everett is now 17-5, 2½ games up in the Northwest League North Division.
Everett used a well-timed hit by Maison Keller to capture the win. The left fielder socked a 2-run double in the top of the first inning to put the AquaSox ahead, 3-0. Though it was his only hit in 4 at-bats, it was important.
"We need better swings, better at-bats," said losing manager Chotaro Inoue.
