Canucks Get Clutch Win Versus Kennewick
|
In a tight game between the Kennewick Marauders and the Abbotsford Canucks, nobody was more important for the winners than Felix Wise. Wise was masterful in the 2-1 win. The winner was B.J. Hirst Jr. in relief. His record improves to 1-0. Garrett Votta took the loss. Tony Pimental recorded the save, his 2nd.
Abbotsford used the timely hitting of JaCorey White to seize the win. The pinch hitter stroked a run-scoring single in the top of the eighth inning to put the Canucks on top, 2-1. It was his only hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a game-changer.
White said his team "played with focus."
Abbotsford, now 10-9, holds down 7th place in the Northwest League North Division.
