Vince McGovern had a strong outing for the Eugene Emeralds against the Medford Flying Tigers at Medford Grounds. The right-hander was a big part of his team's 4-3 win. The win has Eugene at 4-11.

Liam Schmidt, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2057 draft, had a direct impact on the outcome. Schmidt contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the first inning to put Eugene up, 4-0.

"Obviously, you want to go out there and be good every time out," said McGovern. "I take the ball every day with the same mindset."
