The Bend Rafters could not turn a fine performance from pitcher Bud Lorenz into a win. Instead, the Abbotsford Canucks prevailed, 5-2. Lorenz threw 6.0 innings of 5-hit ball. Mason Dawson locked down his 7th save. The last-place Canucks are 7-10.

Abbotsford took the lead, 4-2, on Randy Francis's 2nd home run of the season. The 2-run home run came off Bend pitcher Jai Thompson in the bottom of the seventh.

"If we play like this, we can win a lot of games," Francis told the Abbotsford Daily News.
