The Yakima Valley Pippins locked up a win at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park, knocking off the Gold Beach Sea Unicorns, 4-2. On the mound for Yakima Valley was left-hander Tris Zglinicki. He played a major role in the triumph. Baretta Jimenez closed out the game, earning his 5th save. The second-place Pippins are now 10-7, the Sea Unicorns 6-11.

The Pippins benefited from a costly error in the bottom of the first. With K.J. Morris at bat and Yakima Valley leading 1-0, the Gold Beach miscue allowed Yakima Valley to plate 1 and take the lead, 2-0.
