Pressley Powers Spartans Offense
The Olympia Spartans beat the Yakima Valley Pippins, 6-4, at Ballpark of Victoria. Dewey Pressley starred for Olympia. He was 3 for 3 with a home run, a double, and a walk, while scoring 2 and driving in 4. Dani Xavier claimed the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The left-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit in 2.2 innings. His record stands at 1-1. Ayden Cook picked up the save, his 6th.

There was more than one reason the Spartans beat the Pippins, but Pressley's big at-bat in the bottom of the first was an important factor. He staked his team to a 1-0 lead when he hit a run-scoring single.

"Our approach was just to try to see something over the plate and be aggressive," Pressley told the Olympia Bulletin.

The win has Olympia at 9-5.
