AquaSox Notch 7-1 Win Versus Chiefs
|
Everett beat Wenatchee on the strength of starting pitcher Walt Kozlowski's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 7-1. Kozlowski picked up the win for Everett, going 5.2 innings. He gave up 1 run on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 1-1. With the win, Everett boosts its record to 5-6.
Alex Trudnak had a big bases-clearing triple for the AquaSox in the top of the fifth inning. With Everett leading 3-1 and the bases loaded, he got a splitter from 20-year old right-handed pitcher Santiago Mesa and swatted a triple to center. It was his 1st triple of the season, and more importantly, it put the AquaSox ahead, 6-1.
Said losing manager Mika Brouwer: "The list goes on and on of things we just flat out didn't do."
