Canucks Stymie Wenatchee, Take 5-1 Win
|
The Abbotsford Canucks stifled the Wenatchee Chiefs, 5-1, at Chiefs Stadium. Jason Coleman had his hitting cap on. He was 2 for 4 with a home run. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2 for Abbotsford. Gabriel Cain collected his 4th save. Abbotsford is now 7-4.
It could have been a different outcome for Abbotsford, had it not been for Francisco Torres, the 24-year old second baseman . Torres contributed a 2-run single in the top of the first inning to put Abbotsford up, 3-0.
"Do what you're good at," said Abbotsford manager Chad Greene. "That's all I ask of the team."
