Bend starter Forrest Humphries pitched well against the Medford Flying Tigers at Ballpark of Bend. The right-hander led his team to a win, 4-2. Humphries picked up the win for Bend, going 7.1 innings. He gave up 2 runs on 6 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. David Kirkpatrick finished to wrap up his 3rd save.
Alan Frye helped out the Bend cause in the bottom of the third inning with a run-scoring walk. For the game, the third baseman was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"Forrest made some big pitches when he needed to," said Rafters manager Ricardo Navarrete.
The Rafters raised their record to 6-5.
