Canucks Earn 2-1 Home Win
|
In a low-scoring tilt between the Abbotsford Canucks and the Wenatchee Chiefs, 22-year old right-handed pitcher T.J. Thomas was the difference-maker. The Abbotsford right-hander spearheaded the 2-1 win. The defeat makes Wenatchee 2-7.
The Canucks got a big at-bat from first baseman Nevan Berry. For the game, Berry went 1 for 4 with a double. He drove in 2 runs. In the bottom of the sixth, with runners on 1st and 2nd, he stroked a 2-run double. His 1st double of the season gave Abbotsford a 2-0 lead.
"I like our moxie," said Canucks manager George Spencer.
