Fans brought energy and enthusiasm to the Medford Flying Tigers home opener. Sawyer Marinas started for the home team against Dylan Elkins for the Olympia Spartans. The Flying Tigers were unable to reward the home crowd with a win. The final score was 7-1, Olympia. Yaston Cappelletti, though, was impressive.

With Olympia leading 4-0 in the top of the fifth, Cappelletti came up to bat against Medford pitcher Sawyer Marinas. Cappelletti hit a fastball to center for a 3-run home run. His 1st home run of the season put the Spartans on top, 7-0.

"It was a tough night at the plate," said Medford manager Anthony Delaney.
