Myers Powers AquaSox Offense
|
The Everett AquaSox downed the Tri-City Dust Devils, 7-1, the largest share of the credit belonging to left fielder Fisher Myers. On the day, Myers was 2 for 3 with a home run and 2 walks. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for the AquaSox. The winning pitcher was 22-year old right-handed pitcher Jean Aleman. He tossed 85 pitches over 6.2 innings, allowing 1 run on 4 hits. The loss drops Tri-City to 0-2.
With Everett leading 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Myers hit a circle change from Roman Cuervo for a 2-run home run. It was his 2nd home run of the season and put the AquaSox ahead, 3-0.
"It was a tough night at the plate," said Tri-City manager Bob Kaiser.
