Chiefs Grind Out 2-0 Win
|
The Wenatchee Chiefs ushered in the 2062 season with a win versus the Tri-City Dust Devils at Chiefs Stadium. The final score was 2-0. Starting Pitcher Reid Knepper had a standout performance. The winner was Knepper. He threw 6.0 innings of shutout ball. The loser was Timm Stephenson.
With two out in the bottom of the third, Sidney Delgado put Wenatchee in front, 1-0, with a run-scoring single. The Chiefs went on to win the ballgame.
"I leaned on the ol' Number 1," said Knepper.
