Pitcher Obel Agaton was rock solid in helping the Hamilton Red Wings beat the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 6-1. Despite the win, the Red Wings have a lousy 12-25 record.

Ismael Acevedo had a big 2-run home run for the Red Wings in the bottom of the third inning. With Hamilton leading 2-0 and a runner on 1st, he got a cutter from Brent McRae and swatted a home run to right-center. It was his 2nd home run of the season, and more importantly, it put the Red Wings ahead, 4-0.

"We looked pretty good up and down," said Hamilton manager Aaron Cox.
