Hawks Win, 4-3, Over Salem-Keizer
|
The 4-3 Boise win over Salem-Keizer was due in large part to Jeronimo Pizarro. The Hawks center fielder went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 2 runs. The save was credited to Jesse Tso, his 1st. The Hawks, now 2-0, have been playing some good baseball.
Phil Zook had a direct impact on the outcome. Zook contributed a run-scoring hit-by-pitch in the top of the seventh inning to put Boise up, 4-3.
Pizarro told reporters after the game: "All's well that ends well."
