The Oil City Oilers handed the Atlantic City Jokers a sound defeat, 16-3, at The Oil Field. Lindy Retta was a main contributor to the win. He went 4 for 6 with a home run and 3 singles, while scoring 3 times and driving in 5 for Oil City. Everett Lewis was the winning pitcher. Retta contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Oil City in the bottom of the first. With his team trailing 1-0, Retta took a fastball from Jessie Mullins and stroked the home run to left-center. His 6th home run of the season allowed the Oilers to leap in front, 3-1.

Said Atlantic City manager Andres Zamarida after the blowout loss: "They did pretty much every facet of the game better than we did and that's why we lost."
