Niagara Falls and Auburn duked it out and the Rapids came out victorious.

Led by Ewing Lekota, the Niagara Falls Rapids downed the Auburn Doubledays, 8-6. Lekota hit 3 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored three times for the Rapids. Steve Pelchat was the winner in relief. His record is now 1-0. The losing pitcher was Gavin Mendenhall.

Rocco Jackson swatted a 3-run home run for Niagara Falls in the bottom of the eighth. The second baseman went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and batted in 3.

"We were able to get some things going offensively," said Jackson.

The 4th-place Rapids improved to 33-37.
