The Aberdeen Ironbirds easily defeated the State College Spikes, 12-2, at Ripken Stadium, with designated hitter Colton Park a main contributor to the win. He went 3-4 with a home run, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 2 for Aberdeen. Dusty Ells earned the win, while 21-year old left-handed pitcher Kristian Goldner took the loss for State College. The second-place Ironbirds bumped their record to 43-27.

Aberdeen shortstop Stephen Lee contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a splitter to center field for a 2-run single. It was his 20th hit of the season and put the Ironbirds ahead, 3-0.

Lee said: "We didn't really let up all day. We kind of kept going and going."
