Cyclones 8-4 Winners Versus Connecticut
The Brooklyn Cyclones defeated the Connecticut Tigers, 8-4. Second Baseman P.J. Newport deserved a large share of the credit. Newport went 3-4 with 3 singles and a walk for the Cyclones. With the win, Brooklyn goes to 37-30, while the Tigers fall to 34-33.

Brooklyn used the timely hitting of Bruno Rodríguez to capture the win. The third baseman socked a grand slam home run in the top of the sixth inning to put the Cyclones ahead, 8-4. It was his only hit in 5 at-bats, but it was a big one.

"We didn't pitch good, and when you don't pitch good, you lose," said Connecticut manager Simon Begum.
