The Connecticut Tigers beat the Maine Lobsters, 8-4. Connecticut pitcher and Valley Station, Kentucky, native Smash Dorcine led the way. Dorcine, the winner, moves to 3-2. He threw 5 innings of 4-hit ball, while fanning 6 and giving up 3 walks. The Tigers, at 41-29, sit in third place in the New York-Penn League South Division.

Len Cameron, who is tied for 8th in the NYP with a .363 batting average, aided the Connecticut cause with a run-scoring walk in the bottom of the fifth. For the game, the designated hitter went 1 for 3 with a walk.
