The Redmond Rattlers stopped the Connecticut Tigers, 4-2, at Ron Tonkin Field. The Rattlers got a big game from Roberto Otero, who was 2 for 4 with a home run and a double, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. The winning pitcher was Chad Vizcaino. His record is now 1-1. The right-hander went 5.2 innings, allowing 2 runs on 2 hits for the Rattlers. Steadman Hildebrand collected his 4th save.

Otero contributed a big hit, a 3-run home run, for Redmond in the bottom of the fifth. With his team trailing 2-1, Otero took a fastball from Carter Kristalstern and stroked the home run to left. His 2nd home run of the season allowed the Rattlers to leap in front, 4-2.

In postgame comments to the Redmond Citizen, Otero said, "If the effort is there, the wins will come."

With the win, Redmond goes to 20-14, while the Tigers fall to 13-21.
