|
Staten Island beat Brooklyn on the strength of starting pitcher Collin Lyons's fine effort. The right-hander led his team to a win, 6-1. Lyons, now 5-1, was the winner. In 6.1 innings, he gave up 4 hits, while striking out 3, walking 1, and allowing 1 run. The first-place Pizza Rats have a one-game lead in their division.
Hunter Harvey came through for Staten Island with a 3-run home run in the bottom of the sixth. The catcher went 2 for 4 for the game, including 1 home run and 1 double. He scored 1 run and collected 3 runs batted in.
