Muckdogs Tag Gremlins with 4-3 Loss
Youngstown left fielder Jimmy Schroeder had a good game, even if his team did not. The Gremlins dropped a 4-3 decision to Batavia at Eastwood Field. Schroeder went 3 for 5 with 3 singles. He drove in 2 runs. Matt Pflanz earned the win after being brought in from the bullpen. The right-hander allowed 1 run on 2 hits in 3.2 innings. His record is now 4-1. Peyton Thomas finished the game for Batavia and earned his 7th save.

Paul Stevenson had a direct impact on the outcome. Stevenson contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Batavia up, 3-1.

"We had situations where we should have got some runs in, but we didn't get the runs in," said losing manager Brandon Haviland.

The Muckdogs, at 16-47, sit in last place in the New York-Penn League North Division.
