Pizza Rats Get Extra-Inning, 7-6 Win
The Jamestown Jammers and Staten Island Pizza Rats provided some drama for the home crowd.

The Staten Island Pizza Rats defeated the Jamestown Jammers, 7-6, in 13 innings. Anthony McConnell led the way, going 2-for-4 for Staten Island. The winner in relief was Samson Guenther. The right-hander allowed no runs on 1 hit in 1.2 innings. He now owns a record of 5-3.

The Pizza Rats got a clutch hit from catcher Hunter Harvey. In the bottom of the 13th, he delivered a run-scoring single to win the game for the Pizza Rats.

"What a great win for our team," said a jubilant Max Collison, the Staten Island manager.

With the win, Staten Island has a record of 41-23. Jamestown falls to 21-43.
