5 Straight Wins for Cyclones
|
The Brooklyn Cyclones had to overcome a fine effort from Auburn pitcher John Howell to win, 3-2, at Falcon Park. Howell went 6 innings and allowed 2 runs. Feliberto Bernal picked up the win in relief for Brooklyn, while August Alfredsson took the loss. Brooklyn has run its win streak to 5 consecutive.
Koda Sakai chipped in a solo home run for Brooklyn in the top of the third. For the game, the first baseman had 2 hits in 4 at-bats with 1 home run, 1 single, 1 run scored, and 1 RBI.
"We hit some balls hard and didn't get rewarded for it," said Auburn manager Carlos Renteria.
