The Tri-City ValleyCats topped the Hamilton Red Wings, 8-3, with center fielder Aiden Leto playing a big role. Leto went 2-5 with 2 home runs for the ValleyCats in the win. The ValleyCats now have a record of 20-42.

Tri-City used the clutch hitting of Landerson Valenzuela to snag the win. The pinch hitter drilled a 3-run home run in the top of the eighth inning to put the ValleyCats ahead, 7-3. It was his lone hit in 1 at-bat, but it was a crucial one.

"Nice to get this one," said Valenzuela. "Wins have been hard to come by."
