Taylor Helps Ironbirds Win, 9-3, with Pair of Homers
|
The Aberdeen Ironbirds topped the Brooklyn Cyclones, 9-3, at MCU Park. Aberdeen left fielder Wayan Taylor was a spark plug for the offense. He went 4 for 5 with 2 home runs, 2 singles, and a walk. He scored 3 runs and drove in 5. Today's win puts Aberdeen at 34-28, while Brooklyn falls to 29-33.
With Aberdeen trailing 1-0 in the top of the third, Taylor hit a curveball from Max Janca for a 2-run home run. It was his 7th home run of the season and put the Ironbirds ahead, 2-1.
"The harder you work," said Taylor, "the luckier you get."
