Tri-City shortstop Naldo Cardenal had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-5, to State College at Joseph L. Bruno Stadium. Cardenal was 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles, while scoring 2 runs and driving in 2. Steve Vincent finished the game for State College and earned his 9th save. State College, at 38-21, holds down first place in the New York-Penn League South Division.

Brayden Dubel drove in one run for State College. The 23-year old right fielder had a key at-bat in the top of the ninth. With one out and runners on 2nd and 3rd, he broke a 5-5 tie with a run-scoring sacrifice fly off Axel Aguirre. It was his 2nd RBI of the season.

"It doesn't matter if you're 10 games over .500 or 10 games under, it feels good to win," Dubel told the State College Gazette.
