Spikes Take Down Cyclones, 1-0

In a tension-filled contest between the State College Spikes and the Brooklyn Cyclones, pitcher Aiden Hargon was superb. The State College right-hander spearheaded his team's 1-0 win. Hargon, now 2-2, was the winner. In 5 innings, he gave up 3 hits, while striking out 5, walking 1, and allowing no runs. By defeating Brooklyn, the 7th-place Spikes improved to 29-28.
The Spikes got a big at-bat from first baseman Arnie Hartman. For the game, Hartman was 2 for 4 with 2 doubles. In the top of the second, with a runner on 2nd, he stroked a run-scoring double. His 7th double of the season gave State College a 1-0 lead.
"I had everything working," said Hargon.
