The Connecticut Tigers wasted an impressive 5.2-inning effort from starter Angelo Nivar, falling, 1-0, to the Atlantic City Jokers at Monongalia County Ballpark. Bill Zink earned save number 3 this season. After today's action, Atlantic City sits at 22-35; Connecticut slips to 23-34.

Atlantic City first baseman Stan DeVeer contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the first. With two down, he hit a sinker to center field for a run-scoring single. It was his 4th hit of the season and put the Jokers ahead, 1-0.
