The Connecticut Tigers downed the Aberdeen Ironbirds, 7-0, at Senator Thomas J. Dodd Memorial Stadium. Connecticut pitcher Wyclef Wesley had a scintillating performance. Wesley picked up the win for Connecticut, going 6.1 innings. He gave up no runs on 7 hits. He now sports a record of 4-2. The 7th-place Tigers now have a win-loss record of 27-28.

Connecticut second baseman Michael Clawson contributed a timely at-bat in the bottom of the sixth. With two down, he hit a fastball to left-center field for a 2-run single. It was his 34th hit of the season and put the Tigers ahead, 4-0.

"Every time I step on the mound, I want to go out there and compete and bring my best game," said Wesley.
