Jammers Drop Another One, 4-1
|
Tri-City ValleyCats starter Marvin Kuramoto pitched a good game to help his team take down the Jamestown Jammers, 4-1. The winner was Kuramoto. He threw 5.2 innings allowing 1 run. The loser was JĂșlio Sanin. The ValleyCats improved their record to 23-32 by beating Jamestown.
It could have been a different outcome for Tri-City, had it not been for Matt Schaaf, the 24-year old first baseman . Schaaf contributed a run-scoring single in the top of the sixth inning to put Tri-City up, 2-1.
Schaaf called the win a testament to his team's "tenacity."
