Egeler Lifts Tigers to 6-2 Triumph
|
The timely hitting of Aiden Egeler helped the Connecticut Tigers down the Lowell Spinners, 6-2. Egeler slugged 2 home runs. He drove in 5 runs and scored twice for the Tigers. Patrick Marionneaux got credit for the win, improving to 4-5. He allowed no runs on 4 hits in 7 innings. Isaac Wachtman got the save, the 13th for him this season.
Egeler had a game-changing home run in the bottom of the sixth. On a 3-1 fastball from Jack Wiegand, he banged a 3-run home run to right, giving the Tigers a 3-0 lead. It was the 2nd home run of the year for Egeler.
"Very good win for our guys," said Egeler.
