Auburn left fielder Maurice Rhoads had a good game in a losing cause. His team fell, 6-3, to Yakima Valley at Medlar Field at Lubrano Park. Rhoads was 2 for 3 with 2 singles and a walk. Ryan Medearis recorded his 7th save for Yakima Valley. The win elevated the Pippins to 15-13.

The Pippins got a big hit from center fielder Paul Mason. In the bottom of the sixth, Mason pounded a run-scoring double to left. His 2nd double of the season put the Pippins ahead, 4-3.

"Good win for us," said Mason. "Now we'll focus on the next one."
